Position Summary:
We are currently in search of an HVAC Maintenance Mechanic to enhance our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
  • Utilizing mobile devices to update work statuses and document completed tasks.
  • Coordinating with staff to assess material requirements and project timelines.
  • Performing cleaning, lubrication, servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Assisting in repair decision-making and reporting significant issues to management.
  • Constructing, finishing, installing, maintaining, and repairing various electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Reviewing vendor projects and compiling punch lists.
  • Identifying and resolving building system issues.
  • Responding to emergency situations and executing necessary repairs.
  • Maintaining logs, conducting rounds, and completing work orders, tests, and inspections.
  • Providing recommendations for enhancing preventive maintenance systems.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and safety in shops and mechanical areas.
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in an institutional environment.
  • HVAC certification is highly preferred, along with required experience as a Refrigeration Technician.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
  • A general understanding of electro-mechanical equipment.
  • The ability to operate hand-held construction tools.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, kneel, bend, stoop, and engage in labor-intensive tasks for extended periods.
