About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Program Manager to oversee the daily operations of our high-quality, comprehensive early childhood education services. As the Assistant Director of the CAPSLO Migrant and Seasonal Head Start (MSHS) program, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while fostering a positive learning environment for both staff and enrolled families.



Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director with planning, implementing, and evaluating federal and state programs.
  • Supervise and support content area staff, provide coaching, and ensure high-quality services meet program standards.
  • Collaborate with Area Managers on staff development plans and provide training to staff, parents, and volunteers.
  • Support the development and monitoring of program budgets, coordinate with fiscal staff, and address budget variances.
  • Ensure high-quality services and compliance with performance standards.
  • Monitor recruitment, enrollment, attendance, staffing, and program activities.
  • Participate in audits and reviews to implement management recommendations.
  • Collaborate on new funding sources, facility development, and ensuring compliance with grant and contract specifications.
  • Assist in public relations strategies, network to enhance community relations, and raise the profile of CAPSLO and its programs.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:



  1. A Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  2. 6 Administration units and 2 Adult Supervision units (or obtain within one year of employment).
  3. A minimum 3-5 years of experience managing a similar program/department with direct staff supervision.
  4. Experience with Head Start, Early Head Start, Migrant and Seasonal Head Start, and federal child care contracts.
  5. Experience in identifying, planning, and implementing activities, literature, and other program content appropriate for multilingual and multicultural child development settings.
  6. A Child Development Site Supervisor Permit.
  7. The ability to obtain a California Child Development Program Director Permit within 2 years of employment.
  8. Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish (bilingual/biliterate exam will be administered prior to beginning employment).


Benefits:

This position may be eligible for an internal referral bonus and/or hiring bonus, and a relocation incentive.



Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $75,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
