About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Seasonal Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Kohl's. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers, provide product information, and offer assistance with purchases
  • Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and facing merchandise
  • Support inventory accuracy and complete all required point of sale and merchandise disposition practices
  • Participate in daily service processes, including register and cash balancing, change orders, and replenishing supplies
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and foster teamwork in an engaged and inclusive culture
  • Exercising good judgment and discernment when making decisions, taking appropriate action as needed
  • Demonstrate a customer service mindset, anticipating customer needs and satisfactorily resolving issues
  • Accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes, following company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
  • Maintain adherence to company safety policies for the safety of all associates and customers
  • Receive, understand, and proactively respond to direction from supervisors/managers and other company personnel

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
  • Verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • No retail experience required, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Client-facing retail or service industry experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally over 50 lbs. with a two-person lift
  • Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull on a frequent basis
  • Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise
  • Ability to comply with health and safety standards

Pay and Benefits
