Position Overview:
This full-time role necessitates 1880 hours of annual support, with responsibilities carried out at a designated customer site. As a Systems Engineer specializing in Information Assurance, you will offer systems engineering and architectural support across various domains, including architecture standards, systems integration, evaluation, testing, and application services tailored for cryptologic programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and propose network and security architectures for the foundational infrastructure that supports the customer's development, testing, and operational lifecycle.
  • Analyze user requirements and high-level system architectures to formulate detailed system requirement specifications.
  • Assist in crafting system and functional requirements, deriving lower-level specifications from higher-level allocated requirements.
  • Implement fundamental information assurance mechanisms and security technologies.
  • Conduct systems engineering tasks and contribute to the creation of work products in accordance with Technical Process Areas related to ISO/IEC standards.
  • Generate documentation for system architecture and design.
  • Develop derived requirements for Information Assurance Services, focusing on confidentiality, integrity, and non-repudiation.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or related field from an accredited institution, coupled with a minimum of 10 years of general systems engineering experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree or PhD in a qualified engineering field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 14 years of general systems engineering experience.


Essential Skills:
  • Experience in coordinating development projects.
  • Ability to analyze design and implementation alternatives, including trade-offs and recommendations.
  • Proficient in analyzing functional, system, and non-functional requirements, data flows, and dependencies.
  • Familiarity with architecture frameworks, specifically DoDAF.
  • This position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Preferred Skills:
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team to achieve assigned objectives within expected timelines.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic work environment that may necessitate increased efforts.
