Dishwasher - Lafayette

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Gulf Coast Restaurant Group Inc. As a Dishwasher, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of our kitchen.

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils, and load them into the dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes, and deliver them to the cook's line and other designated areas.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand using the proper wash, rinse, and sanitize methods.
• Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster, and set up or break down the dishwashing area as needed.
• Clean and roll/unroll mats, and sweep/mop floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions, and notify the Kitchen Manager if the dish machine's wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
• Practice good hygiene by washing your hands before handling clean dishes.

• Ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen.

This role operates in a kitchen environment, and employees are frequently exposed to hot water, garbage disposals, and cleaning chemicals. Other hazards may include cuts, slipping, and tripping.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, and frequently lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.

This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
