The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of welding equipment, working primarily with aluminum, steel, and galvanneal materials. This role requires a high level of skill and attention to detail to meet customer and employer requirements.
We offer a competitive salary of $24.50 per hour, based on experience, with opportunities for advancement and career growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Welding Operations: The successful candidate will operate various welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welders, to fabricate truck bodies and components.
- Material Preparation: They will prepare and inspect materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly maintain and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with production leaders and team members to achieve production goals and improve processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in three or more welding materials: mild steel, galvanneal, carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel.
- Basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
