Janitorial Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitor PR01 to join our team at Tyson Foods Inc. as a Janitorial Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the office building, inside breakroom, smoking area at Employee Center, shower facility, and Employee Center in a sanitary and orderly condition.

• Maintain the Employee Center, including shower facilities, by cleaning floors, vacuuming carpet areas, cleaning and dusting walls, windows, shelves, and desks to ensure a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment.
• Launder towels and clothing in a bio-secure fashion to maintain an adequate daily supply.
• Order and maintain laundry inventory; maintain uniform inventory; maintain the boot wash in a clean and orderly fashion; report required repairs; maintain biosecurity of the facility by ensuring all visitors follow standard procedures.
• Maintain shower facilities, including air filters, lights, furniture, painting, etc.
• Assist in maintaining the front of the office to maintain a professional appearance.

• Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
• Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds to move items such as laundry chemicals, trash cans, and wheeled carts.
• Must be able to stand and walk majority of shift on a concrete floor.

The successful candidate will be required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and will be expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures, including Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Lock out Tag out, and Personal Protective equipment.

This is a non-exempt position that reports to the Supv Farm. The schedule is Monday through Friday, including holidays, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, with the possibility of overtime. The successful candidate must be willing to work in a biosecurity environment and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
