Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the daily operations and participant management within the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care tailored to their cardiovascular and pulmonary health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
The individual in this position will be responsible for:

  1. Implementing safe practices that prioritize the well-being of patients and staff.
  2. Exhibiting professionalism and teamwork in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  3. Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, to facilitate patient care.
  4. Receiving and documenting patient referrals, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
  5. Conducting assessments of body mass index (BMI) and body fat percentage.
  6. Collaborating in the development and execution of individualized care plans.
  7. Providing tailored exercise counseling to patients as necessary.
  8. Educating patients and their families on disease-specific topics related to cardiovascular and pulmonary health.
  9. Promoting risk modification strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
  10. Actively marketing the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs within the community.
  11. Completing all assigned tasks efficiently and within designated timelines.
  12. Monitoring and supervising patient exercise sessions.
  13. Documenting patient exercise data accurately and clearly.
  14. Demonstrating proficiency in the setup and use of various exercise equipment.
  15. Upholding a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  16. Maintaining collaborative relationships with departmental and interdepartmental staff.
  17. Utilizing basic computer skills for necessary documentation and communication.

Qualifications:
Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology.
2. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
3. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required within one year of employment.
4. CPR Certification.

Experience:
1. Prior experience or internship in a Cardiac and/or Pulmonary Rehabilitation setting is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
This role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift and move equipment weighing over 40 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity must be within normal ranges.

Work Environment:
Patient care is delivered in clinical settings, including rehabilitation departments and patient rooms. Staff will also engage in standard office functions.

Skills and Abilities:
1. Proficient in manual blood pressure assessment and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
2. Basic computer skills are essential for documentation and communication.
3. Ability to make independent decisions in a clinical environment.
