Role Summary:
The Anesthesia Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of anesthesia services within our surgical, obstetric, and diagnostic suites. This position is vital in a fast-paced clinical environment, contributing to various surgical interventions, including advanced cardiac procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Patient Monitoring Assistance:**
- Support anesthesiologists by connecting patients to hemodynamic monitoring systems during induction.

2. **Equipment Preparation:**
- Prepare and set up necessary anesthesia equipment and physiological monitoring devices tailored to specific cases.
- Assemble transducer lines and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.

3. **Operational Support:**
- Respond promptly to operating room requests for supplies and equipment during surgical procedures.
- Maintain an organized inventory of anesthesia supplies and equipment, ensuring readiness for upcoming cases.

4. **Regulatory Compliance:**
- Adhere to JACHO guidelines and internal policies while managing the Anesthesia Stat Lab (ASL).

5. **Documentation and Communication:**
- Accurately maintain records and demonstrate basic computer skills for navigating web-based applications.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.
- BLS certification for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Essential Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities in English.
- Capacity to perceive auditory signals and distinguish color codes on medical equipment.
