We are looking for a highly skilled Dining Room Assistant to join our team at AEG's McCaw Hall. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and an unforgettable dining experience.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. They will be able to work collaboratively with the kitchen and serving staff to provide seamless service and ensure accurate order delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food and Beverage Support:
  • Collect prepared food items from the kitchen and transport them safely to seating areas.
  • Verify order details and pay attention to special requests, allergies, or dietary restrictions.
  • Deliver food promptly to customers while it is still fresh and hot.
  • Assist with drink orders at the bar and deliver them to guests.
  • Table Preparation and Resetting:
  • Set up tables with clean utensils and condiments before guests arrive.
  • Clear and reset tables promptly after customers have finished dining.
  • Ensure tables are properly arranged and presentable for the next guests.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, and other restaurant personnel to ensure smooth and coordinated service.
  • Dining Area Maintenance:
  • Regularly check and clean dining tables, chairs, and surrounding areas to maintain cleanliness and a neat appearance.
  • Empty and clean garbage cans before, during, and after each shift.
  • Wipe down tables and cleaning debris around dining area and sitting down guests.
  • Assist with general cleaning tasks as needed, including restocking supplies, cleaning glassware, and the bar.
  • Collect all recyclable garbage disposables and place on assigned garbage.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred, especially in a similar customer service role.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry food trays or plates, and navigate outdoor spaces comfortably.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with customers and effectively relay information to team members.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanor with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

Salary:

  • $25-$26 per hour plus tips.
