RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Community Medical Center.
About the RoleThe Certified Nursing Assistant will provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living and providing nursing care to patients. This role requires a high level of physical stamina and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Obtain vital signs and weights, and document on appropriate tools
- Prepare patients for procedures and surgery, and provide post-procedure care as directed by the RN
- Provide patient care based on physical, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned service
- Communicate effectively with patients and nursing colleagues regarding patient status and care
- Participate in collaboration of patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning
- Certified nursing assistant required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- BLS required (American Heart Association)
- Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred
