About the Role:



Ashley Furniture HomeStore is currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Driver Helper to join their team. As a key member of the delivery team, the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods to customers' homes.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Conduct thorough physical inspections of products to identify any damaged goods prior to delivery.

  • Assist the driver in compiling all necessary paperwork for the delivery of goods to customers.

  • Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed on products.

  • Prepare and load delivery trucks safely to ensure the secure transportation of goods.

  • Communicate and document any customer concerns to the Distribution Center Support team.

  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization within the distribution center area.

  • Unload and safely place products in customers' homes, ensuring a positive and hassle-free experience.

  • Take ownership of customer satisfaction, addressing any concerns or issues directly or by assisting other team members.

  • Collaborate with other employees to achieve company goals and objectives.

  • Participate in focus groups, safety meetings, and other location meetings to contribute to a positive and productive work environment.

  • Report any violations of company policies or the misappropriation of company assets.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.



Requirements:





  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to carry out instructions and tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrated customer focus and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of physical activity throughout the shift, including bending, stooping, reaching, standing, and walking.

  • Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor climates.
