MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse to join our team for a travel assignment in a top healthcare facility.
Job Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care to 5-6 patients in the Long Term Acute Care unit.
- Monitor and administer medications, including oral, subcutaneous, and IV administration.
- Educate patients and families on surgical processes and disease management.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and record and interpret electronic displays.
- Interpret telemetry readings and notify the medical team of any irregularities.
- Perform duties required of a registered nurse at all times.
- Care for patients with pulmonary hypertension, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A-Fib.
- Use computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information.
- Start IVs, draw blood, and provide comprehensive patient care from admission to discharge.
- Active RN license.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Eighteen months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting.
- Experience with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes, and ability to read tele-strips.
- Other requirements determined by the client facility.
- Weekly pay and direct deposit.
- Full coverage of all credentialing fees.
- Private housing or housing allowance.
