Ultrasound Technologist II Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operate related equipment with precision and accuracy.
  • Provide excellent patient care, ensuring a tranquil environment and adhering to examination instructions.
  • Maintain logs, process paperwork for biopsies, and utilize sterile techniques to prevent contamination.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other physicians to ensure high-quality images and accurate diagnoses.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques, participating in education programs and workshops to enhance professional growth.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a course in Ultrasonic Technology.
  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine.
  • 2+ years of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.
Physical Demands:
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds and place them in appropriate positions for equipment operation.
