Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team as a Travel Therapist. As a Travel SLP, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication and swallowing disorders, and develop effective treatment plans.
- Treatment Planning: Create individualized treatment plans to address specific functional needs, and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Therapy Implementation: Deliver high-quality therapy services to patients, including speech, language, and swallowing therapy.
- Counseling and Education: Provide counseling and education to patients and their families on ways to cope with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Monitoring and Adjusting: Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and evidence-based research in speech-language pathology.
- Ethics and Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Advocacy: Advocate for patients' rights and needs, and promote access to quality healthcare services.
- Valid State License: Must hold a valid state license or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Recent Experience: Must have recent experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a rehab setting.
- BLS Certification: Must hold a current BLS certification.
