Job Summary

The Environmental Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing programs and developing policies to ensure the company maintains compliance with all requirements from local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. This includes assessing the current status of compliance, developing policies and procedures, and preparing permit applications and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure the company operates within all regulatory requirements.
  • Establish processes and procedures to administer regulatory compliance programs.
  • Prepare permit applications, modifications, and renewals as required.
  • Interact with regulatory agencies for audits, reporting, and tracking.
  • Prepare all necessary regulatory reports.
  • Review and assess permit applications to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate the submission of permit applications and follow up to expedite the review and approval process.
  • Liaise between project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to communicate permit requirements and resolve issues.
  • Maintain a detailed database of permit applications, including status, deadlines, and associated fees.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation and plans for public hearings or meetings.
  • Analyze and interpret zoning laws, building codes, and other regulations to advise project teams on permit-related constraints and opportunities.
  • Facilitate the resolution of violations or non-compliance issues identified during inspections.
Requirements
  • Full understanding and knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, urban planning, or safety management.
  • Strong working knowledge in administrative and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience coordinating with stakeholders on multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory environmental compliance regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills.
