About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of our company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing financial analysis to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Handle account reconciliations and general ledger accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform financial analysis to support business decisions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Apply cost accounting methods to help management understand the financial implications of business decisions.
- Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment and collection of invoices.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure financial reporting accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve financial processes and procedures, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the agricultural sector.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost accounting.
- Experience in payroll processing and managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Knowledge of auditing principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
