A skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is needed to join our team at Christus Health. This professional will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the department manager and/or designee with clinical supervision provided by a licensed occupational therapist
  • Responsible for utilization and supervision of volunteers, students, and support staff relating to the provision of occupational therapy services
  • Interprets and implements physician orders, provides safe care to customers, protects confidential information, communicates professionally, and creates a positive work/therapy environment
  • Knowledgeable of the principles and practice of occupational therapy
  • Performs technical skills of the certified occupational therapy assistant and operates equipment in their professional area
  • Ability to write and speak in a professional and intelligent manner and demonstrates supervision/management skills
  • Willing to assume additional responsibilities as requested
