Mercy Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Behavioral Health team. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing direct service to patients in our Behavioral Health Program area.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, psychological testing, and treatment plans in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Offer assistance with interpreting psychological tests as needed.
- Develop and implement treatment plans addressing patients' identified treatment goals.
- Deliver behavioral health care in accordance with patient evaluations, treatment plans, and within the scope of your license.
- Work directly with patients, individually or in groups, in consultation with Psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide crisis assessment and intervention.
- Consult and coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and community agencies.
- Develop and implement discharge plans.
- Refer patients or their families to other community resources.
- Participate in clinical collaboration and supervision to discuss cases and determine appropriate treatment courses.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient data and documentation in medical records.
- Attend required meetings and staffing as indicated by the Program Manager.
- Develop and deliver in-service education programs and serve as a resource to other staff and the community as needed.
- Participate in performance improvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Doctorate in Psychology and relevant field experience and coursework.
- Holds and maintains a Psychologist license in the state of practice.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Occupational Exposure: Category C - No partners in the specified job classification have occupational exposure.
Age of Patients Served: Pediatric (1 year - 12 years), Adolescents (13 years - 17 years), Adult (18 years - 64 years), Geriatric (65 years and older).
Information Access: Partners may access patient care information needed to perform their job duties.
Work Contact Group: Patients, families, physicians, community and regulatory agencies, and other hospital and clinic personnel.
