Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Hybrid

BAE Systems USA is seeking a proactive Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the development of dynamic electronic military systems. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to the design, development, integration/test, and production of complex electromechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and analyze electromechanical hardware and systems
  • Support product/factory support of DoD military electronics/avionics equipment
  • Develop and maintain state-of-the-art mechanical engineering design and development tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that adhere to DFM requirements
  • Support resolution of technical issues that are discovered during manufacture and test of deliverable hardware
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2 years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience in product development and support of DoD military electronics equipment
  • Solid fundamentals of mechanical design, analysis, and documentation principles
  • Experience with state-of-the-art mechanical engineering development software tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter and problem solver with proven experience executing in diverse multi-disciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge/experience with manufacturing, production, and sustainment of mechanical systems and hardware
  • Experience in the design/development of complex mechanical systems and hardware
  • Experience in the design and manufacture of electronic circuit card assemblies
