Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient image capture.
  • Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Maintain and sterilize ultrasound equipment, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Evaluate images for quality and interpret the results, presenting findings to physicians and the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting medical notes related to ultrasound procedures.
  • Collaborate with Mammography technologists and radiologists to ensure seamless communication and accurate information capture.
  • Review prior images and reports before completing an exam, utilizing PACS, EMR, and other relevant systems.

Requirements:

  • ARDMS registered sonographer
  • Advanced Breast registry or eligible, with a commitment to obtaining within 6 months of hire date
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Breast Sonographer
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy
  • Previous experience in an imaging environment is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in PACS and RIS Systems, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel
