Position Overview:
The In Vivo Pharmacology Research Associate I plays a crucial role in the nonclinical operations of our laboratory, primarily focusing on executing in vivo pharmacology studies. Additional responsibilities encompass general laboratory tasks, in vitro methodologies, and animal care activities. This position is under the supervision of the Lab Supervisor for In Vivo Pharmacology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts in vivo pharmacology studies utilizing rodent models.
- Maintains comprehensive laboratory records and documentation.
- Follows established study protocols meticulously.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets experimental data.
- Participates in weekly laboratory meetings to report on progress, findings, and upcoming studies.
- Ensures proper maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Performs general laboratory tasks as required.
- Conducts necropsies when necessary.
- Assists with various laboratory duties as assigned.
- Collaborates closely with laboratory leadership and project managers to effectively prepare for and conduct assigned pharmacology studies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with a minimum of 2 years of direct experience in animal research; or 5 years of relevant animal research experience without a degree.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in rodent handling and procedures, particularly in the context of cancer pharmacology.
- Familiarity with tissue culture techniques and various in vitro assays.
- Competence in general laboratory practices.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
