Job Summary

Stream Realty is seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our Property Accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial statements for our portfolio are completed timely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly financial statement packages for clients, including journal entries, fixed asset depreciation, and amortization schedules.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of the general ledger and income statement, as well as bank statement reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure internal and external reporting deadlines are met, and interact frequently with the property management team and clients via verbal and written communication.
  • Prepare and submit Sales & Use Tax returns, as applicable, and manage and review the cash accounts of each project/property.
  • Review and post cash receipts, as needed, and review payables, processing vendor invoices for payment as needed.
  • Assist the Manager with the transition of project assignments and ensure compliance with SOC I requirements.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
