Position Summary:

The Auditor is responsible for conducting internal audit functions in alignment with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (SPPIA).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in formulating the audit engagement strategy, including risk identification and assessment.
  • Conduct audit engagements following established internal audit methodologies with minimal oversight.
  • Prepare documentation that satisfies audit evidence requirements with limited supervision.
  • Draft audit findings based on established criteria within the internal audit framework.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements through analysis of workflows and operations.

This role is exempt from timekeeping regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act and does not qualify for overtime compensation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in internal or external auditing, banking, or risk management/compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification or progress towards one, such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or similar.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Active listening and effective questioning skills to ensure understanding.
  • Ability to tailor communication styles to suit different audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

The Corporate Bank, Credit, and Enterprise Risk Management audit team addresses various aspects of Corporate Banking, including Capital Markets and Financial Risk Management (Credit, Market, Liquidity, Capital) as well as Non-Financial Risk Management (Operational Risk, Third Party Risk Management, Model Risk Management, and Enterprise Risk Management).

Our team adopts a dynamic approach that allows for exposure to critical areas within the bank.

This position contributes to the team's goal of providing timely and relevant assurance through process walkthroughs, control testing, substantive procedures, and other monitoring activities, including data analytics.


Additional Preferences:
  • Ability to connect business objectives to processes while recognizing key risks and controls.
  • Comfortable communicating effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Audit experience or related expertise in the relevant areas is advantageous.

This position may be filled at a higher level based on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
