New York, New York, United States Datadog Full time
About Datadog

We're on a mission to build the best platform in the world for engineers to understand and scale their systems, applications, and teams. Our platform operates at a high scale, providing always-on alerting, metrics visualization, logs, and application tracing for tens of thousands of companies.

The Opportunity

User safety and platform integrity is critical to our business. We're looking for a Security Engineer to join us in taking a proactive, highly scalable, and data-centric approach to enabling a safe and trustworthy experience for the users of our rapidly growing and increasingly interactive platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify potentially unwanted behavior and patterns of abuse on the platform, and take steps to moderate and restrict this behavior.
  • Fight against threats to user safety, such as account takeover, publicly leaked tokens, privileged access abuse, fraud, etc.
  • Build and implement near real-time detection and prevention capabilities that protect our platform and our customers.
  • Work in a highly collaborative role, often engaging with engineering teams beyond security.
Requirements:
  • Experienced working with data for risk analysis, threat detection, anomaly detection, or monitoring purposes.
  • Fluent in one or more modern coding languages (Python, Go, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively on a distributed team.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing security team and make a big impact. You'll have the chance to work on a wide range of trust and safety related topics, from threat detection and security research to engineering, incident response, data science, user engagement, privacy, and bridging gaps between security and the broader Datadog business.

We value people from all walks of life and are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace. If you're passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.
