About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our Kinesiology and Athletics Department as an Associate Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction and coaching to students in various sports, as well as supporting the department's mission to foster a culture of excellence and inclusivity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction and coaching to students in various sports, including baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling.
  • Support the department's mission to foster a culture of excellence and inclusivity.
  • Develop and implement instructional plans and coaching strategies that align with the department's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a high-quality athletic program.
  • Recruit and retain athletes and promote the department's programs and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as required by the department and the college.


Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:



  • A bachelor's degree and two years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) physical education teaching or coaching experience; or an associate's degree and six years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) physical education teaching or coaching experience; or the equivalent.
  • Proof of current CPR with AED and First Aid certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • A sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.

Salary and Benefits

The starting hourly rate for this position is $143.47. The college offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision care plan, life insurance, and long-term disability coverage for eligible employees and their dependents.
