Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Neibauer Dental Care - Fort Belvoir. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.
Responsibilities- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience throughout their dental journey.
- Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care and ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology.
- Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during a wide range of procedures, adhering to the state dental practice act.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping, ensuring seamless communication and data management.
- Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and follow OSHA & CDC recommendations.
- Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed to maintain a well-stocked and efficient environment.
- Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.

- Minimum Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- 2+ years of experience in a dental setting.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
- VA x-ray certification.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Preferred Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a dental setting.
- Dentrix or other dental software experience.
- Dental assisting school certification.
The ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position.
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing are required, as well as the ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times. Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year is also necessary.
