Job Summary

Oroville Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe to join our team. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accompany physicians and mid-level providers into patient examination areas to transcribe findings in real-time.
  • Document patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnoses in a clear and concise manner.
  • Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests and imaging studies, under the direction of providers.
  • Complete procedure notes and enter documentation on patient progress as directed by providers.
  • Verify that Electronic Health Records are complete and meet documentation requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a mutually respectful working relationship with all providers.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification or American Red Cross Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Ability to type at least 40 wpm with accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
Working Conditions:

The Medical Scribe will work in a fast-paced clinical environment, requiring the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. The position involves standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, with occasional lifting of objects up to 25 pounds.
