Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Class A Driver to join our team at RemotelyHR. As a Class A Driver, you will be responsible for transporting equipment and materials to and from demolition sites safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely Operate Class A Trucks: Deliver equipment and materials to demolition sites and other locations as needed.
  • Conduct Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Ensure the vehicle is in excellent working condition before and after each trip.
  • Plan and Execute Efficient Routes: Optimize delivery times and fuel usage by planning the most efficient routes.
  • Adhere to Safety Regulations: Follow all federal, state, and local driving regulations, including safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Secure Loads Properly: Prevent shifting or damage during transportation by securing loads properly.
  • Communicate with Project Managers: Ensure timely delivery and pickup of equipment and materials by communicating with project managers and site supervisors.
  • Assist with Loading and Unloading: Handle equipment and materials with care during loading and unloading.
  • Address Issues and Delays: Report any issues or delays to the appropriate personnel and address them promptly.
  • Perform Routine Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
  • Report Mechanical Issues: Report any mechanical issues or required repairs to the maintenance team in a timely manner.
  • Keep the Vehicle Clean and Presentable: Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle, both inside and out.
  • Complete and Submit Documentation: Complete and submit all required documentation, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and mileage reports.
Requirements
  • Driving Skills: Proven experience operating Class A trucks with a clean driving record.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of safety regulations and practices for transporting heavy equipment and materials.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication skills for interacting with team members, site supervisors, and clients.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in completing documentation and ensuring proper load security.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle unexpected issues and provide practical solutions on the road.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage delivery schedules and routes efficiently.
Other Requirements
  • Valid Class A CDL License: A valid Class A CDL license and a clean driving record are required.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar driving role is a plus.
  • Background Checks and Drug Screening: Must be able to pass background checks and drug screening.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to Sit for Extended Periods: Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
  • Adequate Vision and Hearing: Adequate vision and hearing for safe driving and effective communication.
  • Capability to Perform Physical Tasks: Capability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading equipment.
