Job Summary:

The Traveling Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit. This includes assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other support staff, to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
