This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Structural Mechanics Test & Verification Engineer to engage in vital projects that support the advancement of aerospace technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement testing strategies for structural components intended for human-rated lunar lander systems.
  • Analyze and evaluate qualification and acceptance testing protocols, along with performance verification documentation.
  • Participate in the assessment and validation of structural components for lunar lander systems.
  • Identify and assess technical, safety, and scheduling risks related to the design and verification of structural hardware.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to collaborate with external partners and various aerospace facilities.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

This position is open to candidates with varying levels of experience. We are committed to considering applicants based on their qualifications and the needs of our organization.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in designing, analyzing, or constructing structural or mechanical systems.
  • A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with structural or mechanical hardware assembly and testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in aerospace, mechanical, or structural engineering.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in aerospace, automotive, or aviation sectors.
  • Familiarity with NASA, DoD, ASME, and AIAA design and construction standards.
  • Experience with industry testing standards.
  • Proficient in managing the structural testing process, including documentation and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills for effectively presenting test outcomes and recommendations.
