Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare patients for treatment by accessing dental records and providing necessary instruments and materials.
  2. Assist dentists during exams and procedures, including chaperoning and taking digital X-rays as directed.
  3. Maintain clinical equipment and supplies, ensuring they are always clean and sterile.
  4. Provide post-treatment and oral health care instruction as requested, educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
  5. Take impressions for study models, crowns, bridges, dentures, and partial dentures, and pour up models when necessary.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate from an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred.
  • Previous dental office experience preferred; minimum one-year direct experience in a Dental Assistant role required for candidates with no formal DA education.
  • CPR certification required (must be obtained within 30 days of employment).

Working Conditions:

This position is located in a dental office environment, requiring the ability to sit or stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds. You may be exposed to blood and body fluids and other hazardous substances.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
