This position requires a high level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with licensed healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Performs scrub duties, including the handling of surgical instruments and materials.
- Demonstrates advanced patient care skills across various age groups under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Engages in continuous learning and professional development to enhance surgical techniques and patient care.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Required:
High School diploma or GED, along with completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Minimum Experience Required:
At least one year of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a clinical setting.
Licensure/Certification:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist is mandatory. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
Additional Skills:
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
