Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at 30 Prospect Avenue. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in assisting proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular cases.
Key Responsibilities- Assist proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular cases, scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralists.
- Contribute positively to a multi-disciplinary team of radiologists and vascular surgeons.
- Manage groin sites post-intervention.
- Minimum 1 year prior experience as a licensed Radiology Tech required.
- Strong knowledge of fluoroscopic modality machines.
- Ability to identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases.
- Ability to critically think during interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralists.
- Ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical records and sending images to Sectra system.
- Strong communication skills using closed-loop communication.
- Ability to maintain sterile technique and infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays.
- Ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to professionally and effectively communicate information to patients.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
