Childcare Teachers and Assistants

YWCA Gettysburg & Adams County is seeking dedicated and experienced Childcare Teachers and Assistants to join our team. As a Childcare Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in our childcare programs. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with a competitive salary range of $11.00 to $16.00/hour.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate activities using the Creative Curriculum and PATHS Curriculum
  • Maintain and ensure direct supervision and care of children, following all DHS regulations and the Pennsylvania Keys STARS standards
  • Collaborate with the Group Supervisor to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff to ensure a smooth and successful childcare experience
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of prior childcare experience
  • Ability to pass Pennsylvania mandated background checks and first aid certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
