Admissions Coordinator Per Diem Specialist

The Admissions Coordinator Per Diem Specialist at Spaulding Hospital Cape Cod is a vital role in ensuring the smooth registration and administrative processes of the Admitting Department. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job DescriptionAs an Admissions Coordinator Per Diem Specialist, you will be responsible for performing various tasks, including:
- Registration: Completing accurate and thorough bedside registrations, reviewing face sheet information for accuracy, and updating any errors in the entity referral system.
- Admission paperwork: Completing admission paperwork with patients or their designated proxies in accordance with established procedures.
- Referral information: Maintaining, updating, and providing referral information to inpatient units per established standards.
- Patient electronic information: Managing patient electronic information via 4next and the entity referral systems per established guidelines.
- Demographic and insurance information: Verifying demographic and insurance information and obtaining insurance signatures in accordance with established standards.
- Technology initiatives: Providing input in technology initiatives to enhance the admissions process and achieve department goals.
In addition to these responsibilities, Senior Admissions Associates will also perform the following duties:
- Facility tours: Providing facility tours to accurately represent organizational services.
- Coordination: Coordinating between referral sources and facilities to ensure timely and smooth referral processes.
- Data analysis: Preparing data analysis reports to meet established goals.
- Database maintenance: Maintaining access databases to meet department needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school graduation or GED.
- Medical terminology experience preferred for Senior Admissions Associates.
We prefer candidates with:
- An Associate's degree for Senior Admissions Associates.
You will need to possess:
- Computer proficiency, preferably with Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective verbal, electronic, and written communication skills using the English language.
This role requires working independently, being self-directed, and contributing as a member of a team. You will also need to anticipate challenges and develop strategies for addressing them.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary range for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 annually, depending on location and experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
