Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist with sorting, shelving, and processing library materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized library environment, assisting patrons with simple questions, and performing various tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and shelve library materials in a timely and accurate manner
• Assist patrons with simple questions and provide basic assistance on self-check
• Perform various tasks as assigned, including clerical, maintenance, and housekeeping duties
• Maintain a clean and organized library environment
• Interact courteously with patrons and staff

Requirements:

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Ability to communicate effectively and interact with patrons and staff
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and perform detailed work
• Ability to lift up to lbs. repetitively, with or without accommodation
• Ability to use office equipment

Benefits:

• Competitive hourly rate of $10.45 per hour, with a higher rate of $12.45 on Sundays
• Vacation, sick leave, personal days, and holidays
• Public Employees Retirement System

Work Schedule:

• Part-time, 20 hours per week, with 4 shifts per week, including evenings and Fridays/Saturdays, with some Sundays from 1-5
• Schedule subject to change based on library needs
