Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Management: Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including maintenance, housekeeping, safety, and inventory control.
  • Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to the facilities team, ensuring that all community facilities are in excellent condition.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and monitor preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of facility equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, managing the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) book, and leading the safety/OSHA committee.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in emergency preparedness training and respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain an inventory of maintenance and housekeeping supplies.
  • Vendor Management: Select, manage, and monitor performance of contractors and vendors to ensure quality service delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Financial Management: Oversee financials, including the review of vendor and supplies invoices and budget management.
  • Team Development: Coach, develop, and provide feedback to team members, conducting regular one-on-one meetings to ensure professional growth.
  • Communication: Lead daily stand-ups for the Facilities team and participate in all community leader stand-ups.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Minimum of two years of related maintenance experience, formal training in carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC, refurbishing, and cleaning preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations, ability to problem solve, plan, organize, communicate, and cooperate with others.
