Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse II to join our team at the Health and Human Services Commission. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care and support to individuals with complex medical, mental health, and behavioral health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with complex medical, mental health, and behavioral health needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff.
  • Assist with health screenings, collect specimens for lab work, and perform other technical nursing procedures.
  • Provide education and training to direct support professionals and other staff on how to provide care and support that meets the individual's medical needs.
  • Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Physicians, and other medical staff to ensure high-quality care and support.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of Texas.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments in emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
