Job Title: Deputy Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Director to join our team at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Louisville, Kentucky. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing all direct service programs in the Louisville office, with a focus on refugee resettlement, economic empowerment, education, youth, health, and food and agriculture initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Oversight: Ensure client success through high-quality service that supports clients to thrive in their community.
  • Compliance and Administration: Ensure programs comply with all contractual, reporting, and match requirements.
  • General Management: Provide high-level leadership to program managers, including regular one-on-one meetings, effective delegation of duties, and consistent and ongoing feedback and communication.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree in business, non-profit management, public administration, or human services related field preferred.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of professional work experience with progressive levels of responsibility, including supervisory and program management experience.
  • Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Strong experience with program and budget management, strategic planning, and conducting monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure program quality.
