Medical Assistant-PRN Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant-PRN to join our team at Rapides Cardiology Associates. As a Medical Assistant-PRN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments for your patients, including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization
  • Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
  • Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
  • Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen for referrals
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program
  • OR twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
  • OR current Medical Assistant certification
