{"Responsibilities": "Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacist at Ascension, you will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders. You will review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug-related problems. You will also recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.

Additionally, you will compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients. You will provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients. You will communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.

You will oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies. You may also assist with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students. You will float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs.

Finally, you will provide patient counseling efficiently and effectively when required.

To be successful in this role, you must have a Pharmacist credentialed from the Indiana Board Of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. You must also have a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy.
