Job SummaryWe're seeking a talented Veterinary Care Specialist to join our Petco Total Care Full Service Veterinary Hospitals team. As a key member of our hospital team, you'll provide exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with our veterinary staff, and contribute to creating a positive experience for our clients and their pets.
Estimated Salary: $50.75 - $81.25 per hourJob DescriptionAs a Veterinary Care Specialist at Petco, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatments. You'll also develop treatment plans, perform routine and complex surgeries, and ensure seamless communication with referral hospitals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide excellent patient care through physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatments
- Develop treatment plans based on complete problem-based assessments
- Perform routine and complex surgeries, including spays/neuters, mass removals, and dentals
- Ensure effective communication with referral hospitals and clients
To succeed in this role, you'll need a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school. You must also hold active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located or be able to obtain it by start date.
