Job Description

As a Cloud Architect in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team, you will play a key role in designing and implementing cloud-native systems that meet the needs of our customers. You will be responsible for translating the Oracle Cloud vision into specific milestones for various products and services, and for ensuring that these solutions are aligned with the company's overall architecture direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop architecture patterns, frameworks, and standards to apply the Oracle Cloud vision to the Global Industry Unit realities.
  • Analyze the architecture of existing products and work with product teams to create and track the evolution roadmap that fits the larger Oracle Architecture direction.
  • Support teams starting new projects to ensure the right architectural choices.
  • Stay on top of the changes and direction of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and continuously align the GIU architecture priorities with those.
  • Be the expert and advocate for OCI at the Global Industry Unit level.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in a Senior Engineer/Architect role.
  • At least 5 years of System Design experience, specifically with cloud-native systems in a public cloud (OCI preferred).
  • Experience designing and implementing highly available multi-region systems.
  • Experience with high-compliance environments (government/sovereign cloud).
  • Ability to write high-quality technical documentation (in English) and understanding of compliance processes.
  • Ability to efficiently communicate and influence technical decisions across large groups.
  • Experience working in a technical role for executive leadership teams.

  • Competitive salary range: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum.
