Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work under licensed Structural Engineers, providing opportunities for growth and professional development.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal, written communication, and computer skills. Experience with engineering programs such as ETABS & ADAPT, as well as AutoCAD, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design structural systems for buildings, bridges, and other structures using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Analyze blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine the requirements for structural design, including building codes, safety regulations, and material specifications.
- Conduct structural calculations to determine loads, stresses, and forces on structures, designing solutions to ensure safety and stability.
- Create detailed construction documents, including drawings and specifications, to provide contractors with essential information.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other team members to integrate structural designs with other building systems.
- Evaluate existing structures for safety and develop repair or retrofit plans as necessary.
- Attend site visits and meetings to discuss design plans and construction progress.
We offer an attractive compensation package, including a competitive salary of $85,000 per year, plus benefits such as medical insurance, pre-tax healthcare plans, paid time off, paid sick leave, a 401(k) employee savings plan, and paid holidays.
The position is 100% onsite at our company office in Rohnert Park, CA, requiring a 5-day workweek with 8-hour shifts.
