Responsibilities:
As a Certified Fitness Coach, your primary duties will include:
  • Delivering exceptional fitness training to all clients, regardless of their fitness background or experience.
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with supervisors through various channels.
  • Upholding all program policies and procedures related to fitness services.
  • Enforcing facility policies and assisting during emergency situations as required.
  • Keeping accurate records and submitting necessary reports to supervisors.
  • Participating in all scheduled personal trainer meetings and departmental gatherings.
  • Maintaining current certifications in CPR/AED and First Aid, and completing all required skills assessments.
  • Possessing and maintaining an accredited personal fitness training certification from a recognized professional organization.
  • Continuously pursuing professional development in personal training.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Proven experience in training fitness clients.
  • Ability to obtain and sustain CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, along with a nationally recognized personal fitness training certification.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to fitness coaching.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fitness and recreational practices.
  • Able to thrive in a high-expectation environment that values accountability and balanced lifestyles.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in training small groups of fitness clients.

Competencies:
Technical Competencies:
  • Proficiency in using fitness assessment equipment, including blood pressure monitors, body fat calipers, and cardiovascular testing tools.
  • Ability to create exercise prescriptions and develop progressive workout plans for clients.
  • Basic computer skills.

Professional Competencies:
  • Ability to manage customer service issues related to fitness activities.
  • Effective communication skills with clients and professional staff.
  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities.

Human Relations:
Internal interactions will involve staff at all levels, while external contacts will include clients and vendors. This role requires effective troubleshooting, information exchange, negotiation, and providing recommendations.
