Job Description Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst in Capital Markets will play a crucial role in supporting transactions initiated by NCAA's investment services across various asset classes, with a focus on valuation analyses in sectors such as industrial, office, and retail.

This position involves executing complex financial analyses, including the development of Excel valuation models, Argus Enterprise model creation and auditing, lease abstraction, and due diligence processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for synthesizing analytical findings into comprehensive summaries for our Capital Markets teams.

The ideal candidate will be located in a flexible environment and is expected to work collaboratively with team members, potentially requiring travel and extended hours to meet project demands.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex financial modeling and analysis requests, acting as a project manager for significant client engagements and portfolio transactions.
  • Prepare pro forma statements and discounted cash flow analyses, taking into account both current and historical market conditions.
  • Audit existing financial models to ensure accuracy and validity of assumptions, identifying any data discrepancies.
  • Conduct thorough market research to evaluate property and market conditions, presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Engage with Brokers to clarify request scopes and review analytical outcomes, ensuring effective communication of findings and timely revisions.
  • Identify and address any gaps in information or unclear requests to guarantee precise analyses.
  • Develop high-level summaries of analyses, highlighting transaction considerations, trends, and inconsistencies.
  • Mentor junior analysts, aiding in their professional development and contributing to training resources.
  • Perform quality control reviews to ensure deliverables meet project requirements and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed on real estate fundamentals and industry trends to enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Support process improvement initiatives within the Capital Markets team, contributing to automation projects and user acceptance testing as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis and modeling; experience in Capital Markets is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of real estate financial principles.
  • Proficient in Argus Enterprise and other financial modeling tools.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other components of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines.
  • Exhibits strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Proactive approach to responsibilities and a desire for continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
