Job Description

As a Registered Nurse at Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Leesville, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct patient care within the scope of your RN license
  • Assuming leadership responsibility for day-to-day coordination of patient care activities for the unit
  • Communicating with medical staff on identified patient issues
  • Maintaining knowledge of admission criteria and accurately documenting admission criteria for new admissions
  • Actively working with the Service Development Department to facilitate admissions into the facility in a timely manner

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of an Associate degree in Nursing
  • Licensed as a RN to practice in the state
  • One year RN experience with preferred psychiatric nursing experience performing duties in a Healthcare setting
