POSITION: RADIOLOGY TECHNICIAN
EMPLOYER: Nitelines USA, Inc
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PRN / Part-Time
WORK SCHEDULE: Estimated 400 hours annually, Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, not exceeding 30 hours weekly.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- The technician must hold a valid license to conduct radiological procedures in any of the 50 United States.
- Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is mandatory, in accordance with the American Heart Association standards.
- Proof of required certification (ARRT) must be provided.
EQUIPMENT: The technician will utilize both digital and analog radiological equipment, including a digital x-ray machine.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Capable of executing all radiology procedures, including fluoroscopic and standard diagnostic, with minimal technical assistance.
- Conduct routine radiologic examinations as requested by medical personnel for the designated population.
- Engage with a diverse patient demographic encompassing various cultural, racial, religious, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Assess radiographic equipment for necessary calibrations and repairs.
- Possess knowledge of potential emergency situations that may arise during specialized radiographic procedures.
- Schedule examinations and maintain accurate records.
- Demonstrate understanding of various pathological conditions as identified through radiographic imaging.
- Independently determine and select technical exposure factors and positions required for optimal diagnostic quality. Welcome patients and explain procedures to reduce anxiety.
- Independently perform all types of radiographic procedures, including chest, bone, skull, spine, and portable x-rays.
- Alert the Radiologist or referring Physician of any preliminary abnormalities observed during examinations, facilitating the ordering of additional views or tests if necessary.
- Coordinate the transfer of patient radiologic records to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director to ensure completion of monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Act as a liaison between the radiologist and medical staff.
- Receive training and orientation, adhering to correctional techniques as they relate to medical services.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of institutional medical protocols.
- Adhere to CDC universal precautions and wear appropriate protective clothing at all times.
- Perform additional duties as required of a Radiological Technician.
- Complete all x-ray studies as ordered by medical staff and manage radiologic requests within the medical record program.
- Prepare x-rays for submission to the radiologist for interpretation.
- Assist staff with equipment and supply maintenance, notifying them when supplies are low.
- Conduct quality assurance tests and perform daily maintenance on x-ray equipment as needed.
- Support FDA inspections and program reviews as required.
- Ensure all x-ray requests are accurately completed and maintain computerized patient logs and repeat analysis.
