Job Summary:

The Pneumatic/Vacuum Truck Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment and vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. This includes driving and operating power equipment and vehicles in accordance with DOT laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical services and be able to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain all necessary equipment in accordance with operation training, guidelines, and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including personal protective gear.
  • Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and industrial settings.
  • Perform manual cleaning, installation, and repair of valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and other external and internal equipment.
  • Assist in general maintenance of company equipment, including service, grease, and cleaning.
  • Wash and clean company equipment, including pressure washing and cleaning cabs.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including sweeping floors, taking out trash, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with future job load outs or unloads from previous jobs, returning equipment and PPE to designated areas.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year's experience required behind an 18-wheeler.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Ability to drive manual transmission in addition to automatic.
  • Valid Transportation Workers Identification card (TWIC) or ability to obtain one.
  • Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to pass a personal background screen.
  • Ability to pass an MVR background screen.
  • Commercial Driver - Pneumatic/Vacuum Operator runs under the FMCSA 70-hour rule.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time.
  • Willingness to respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week as needed.
  • Ability to perform all required job duties in accordance with training.
  • Ability to perform all job duties in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow all given directions.
Physical Requirements:
  • Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
  • Physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Physically capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long periods of time.
  • Physically capable of climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Physically capable of working in all inclement weather conditions.
Pay Range: $24 - $28 per hour
